Descriptions come from each place’s own website or from its owner (Kungliga slotten, Kungahuset, the County Administrative Board for Bogesund). Municipalities are from official pages where they name one. Where an official page names only a historic province, this page gives the current municipality. Skokloster Castle and Gripsholm Castle are not on this list. They are outside Stockholm County.
