About this day trip by car from Stockholm

For routes that need more ground covered than feet allow, I drive. A private car comfortably takes small groups — perfect for couples or families wanting to reach Drottningholm Palace or chase a sunset along the archipelago road.

For groups of four to nine, I arrange a rented minivan. Driving expands what is reachable in a single day, without losing the personal pace of a private tour.

We plan the stops together — a palace, a viewpoint, a coastal village — and move at whatever speed suits you.

What’s included

  • Private car or minivan with driver-guide
  • Route planned around your interests
  • Stops at viewpoints and villages along the way

Adapt this tour

Tell me what you want to see and how many are travelling. We can aim for Drottningholm Palace, the archipelago road, or both. See all private tours in Stockholm.

Good to know before your day trip by car from Stockholm

Pickup

I pick you up at your hotel, or at a place we agree on. The day ends where you want to be dropped off.

Car or minivan

My car seats up to 3 guests. For 4 to 9 guests, I arrange a rented minivan at extra cost. For larger groups, I work as tour leader on a coach, for up to 50 guests.

How long it takes

A full day, 6 to 8 hours. Driving lets us reach more in one day, without losing the personal pace of a private tour.

Languages

I guide this tour in English, German or Swedish. Tell me which language you prefer when you send your request.

A good choice for access needs

This is a seated tour, with no walking needed. For guests with significant mobility needs, a private car or a minivan opens up places that a walking tour cannot reach. Tell me what you need before you book.

Where we can go

Drottningholm Palace, the archipelago road, viewpoints and coastal villages. We plan the stops together, and we can time the day to see the sunset.

Price, payment and cancellation

A full day with me driving, guiding and providing the vehicle costs €800–€1,200+. This covers fuel, parking, and my time behind the wheel as well as guiding. You get a confirmed price in writing when I know your dates and plans. You pay by bank transfer, in cash, or online by Stripe, PayPal or credit card. Cancel more than 48 hours before the tour for a full refund of any online payment.

Children

Children are welcome. I adapt the stops and the stories to keep them interested.
