1. Who Is Responsible for Your Data

Zayera Khan runs this website as a sole trader (enskild firma), registered in Sweden. “Zayera Tours” is a marketing name for the tour guide services offered on this site — it is not a separate company. Zayera Khan is the person responsible for your data under this policy.

2. What Data We Collect and Why

  • Comments: When you leave a comment, we save what you write, plus your IP address and browser type. This helps catch spam. Comment data and site maintenance are handled by WordPress, the software that runs this site — not read or managed by Zayera personally.
  • Photos you upload: If you upload a photo, check that it does not contain hidden location data (GPS). Other visitors may be able to see this data.
  • Contact Form: When you fill out the contact form on this site, we use the information you provide only to answer your message.
  • Bookings and Tour Requests: When you book a tour or ask about a travel consultation — through the contact form, by email, by phone, or by WhatsApp — we use your details only to answer your request and provide the service.
  • WhatsApp: If you message us through WhatsApp, your phone number and message are handled by WhatsApp (owned by Meta), following WhatsApp’s own privacy policy, in addition to this one. We use your WhatsApp details only to respond to you and arrange your tour or service.
  • Accessibility and health information: If you tell Zayera in writing about an accessibility need, mobility limit, or medical condition before a tour, we use this only to plan and run that tour safely. This counts as a special, more sensitive category of data under GDPR, so we only collect and use it with your explicit consent — given by the fact that you choose to share it with us in writing — and we do not pass it on beyond what is needed to run your tour safely.
  • Photos and video taken during tours: Zayera may take photos or video while guiding a tour, to use on zayera.com, in marketing, and on social media. If you would rather not appear in these, tell Zayera before or during the tour, and reasonable efforts will be made to leave you out of anything published.

3. Cookies

We use cookies to make the site work better for you:

  • Comment Convenience: If you comment, you can choose to save your name and email so you don’t have to type them again. This lasts one year.
  • Videos and Other Embedded Content: Some pages include embedded videos (for example, from YouTube). These outside sites may collect data or set cookies just as if you had visited them directly.

This website does not require visitors to log in, and does not offer visitor accounts.

4. How Long We Keep Data

  • Comments: Kept so the site can recognize you if you comment again. This is handled automatically by WordPress, as part of the standard blog software running on zayera.com.
  • Contact Form, Bookings, and WhatsApp Messages: Kept only as long as needed to respond to you and provide the service you asked for.
  • Accessibility and health information: Kept only for as long as needed to plan and run the specific tour it was given for, then deleted, unless you book again and choose to share it again.

5. Sharing and Security

We do not sell your data. We only share it when needed to run the site or provide a service:

  • Spam Checks: Comments are checked by an automated spam filter, standard to WordPress.
  • Account Security: If the site’s password reset system is used, your IP address is included in the email for security.
  • WhatsApp: As described above, messages sent through WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp/Meta.
  • Online payments (planned): We plan to introduce online payment for tour bookings through Stripe and/or PayPal. Once live, your payment details will be handled directly by Stripe/PayPal under their own privacy policies — we do not see or store your card details ourselves. This section will be updated with full details when online payment goes live.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you live in the EU, you have these rights:

  • Access: You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Deletion: You can ask us to delete your personal data.
  • Exceptions: We may need to keep some data for legal, security, or tax reasons, even after a deletion request.
