About this tour
There is a reason everyone ends up in Gamla Stan. Cobbled streets, medieval architecture, the Royal Palace, the narrowest alley in the city — it is compact, walkable, and genuinely stunning. The stories are also good, if you have someone to tell them.
I know these streets well enough to take you off the standard route. We pass through the main square, and we also find the quieter corners. You hear about the people who actually lived here, not just the kings.
The walk is two hours. It moves at a comfortable pace with room to stop, look, and ask whatever you want.
