MY BACKGROUND
A Global Journey to Stockholm
Welcome! I am Zayera Khan, a certified tour guide and travel leader based in Stockholm, Sweden. I bring over 25 years of experience in leadership, design, and working across cultures. I do not just show you around Stockholm — I plan each tour around what your group wants to see. Whether you are a small family, a group of friends, or a professional study group, I make sure every tour runs smoothly and stays memorable.
I was born in Karachi, Pakistan, and grew up in Nigeria and later in Lund, Sweden. I worked in Switzerland for several years, including over 20 years in user experience design and team leadership for companies such as Swisscom, Orange, and Forrester Research, and Swedish organisations such as Arbetsförmedlingen, 1177 Vårdguiden, and Scania. I also trained as a coach and have mentored many professionals along the way. I settled in Stockholm in 2008, and this mix of places, cultures, and work shapes how I guide today. I work in English, Swedish, and German.
